| The 60's.....the Golden Age of the "Girl Groups".....the Marvelettes started out originally as a Five Member Group who called themselves the "Casinyets" when Please Mr. Postman was recorded... Gladys Horton.... Georgia Dobbins, Gerogeanna Tillman, Juanita Cowart and Katherine Anderson.... The name of the group was changed after deciding it was too hard to pronounce.....to the Marvelettes. The rest is history... |
