| So....we all know that I thought the Monkees and Davy Jones were the best thing since Peanut Butter when I first heard them in 1965.... At that time you just didn't "go to a concert" unless you were (1) Rich......or........ (2) Lived in a Big City And you certainly never got to "meet" the performers......(see the above 1 & 2)... I did the next best thing....I bought one of their albums...their First Album....Meet the Monkees....Played it to death! Bought 45's....played them to death. Still kept really good care of them, they look like brand new to this day..... I watched their television show faithfully...I was not a screaming 14 year old.....I was in my 20's....I appreciated them for their wit and their talent. I was really saddened when the show was removed from TV.....their show was a major hit.... But I never forgot the Monkees nor Davy Jones........ |
